Paris, January 23, 2024 – As part of its development as an integrated power player in Germany, TotalEnergies has signed an agreement to acquire from its three founders the entire share capital of Kyon Energy, one of the leading developers of battery storage systems in the country.

Developer Kyon Energy has sold 194.7MW of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Germany to investor Obton, including one it recently claimed was the largest in Europe. Three of the project sales have already concluded over the course of 2023 while a fourth is set to conclude before the end of the year.
